Cancer Support
The Cancer Support Ministry provides support to disciples and members of the community who have been affected in some way by cancer. This ministry is available to support cancer patients who are going through treatment, recovering survivors, and individuals who know someone with cancer, but don’t know how to talk to them. The Cancer Support Ministry provides resource materials and may occasionally invite guest speakers for health related presentations. The ministry is there when individuals need to know that they are not alone and just need a listening ear. However,most importantly this ministry provides “a soft hug and a kind positive word” when someone is not having a good day. Meetings are held on the fourth saturday of each month, 10am-12noon, in the William H. Claiborne Educational Center.
