The Crisis Intervention Ministry serves individuals and families in need, by lovingly providing meals, groceries, clothing, prayer, support and the preaching of God’s Word. The Crisis Ministry draws people from the surrounding community, many of whom are homeless, jobless and penniless. Central disciples and other volunteers prepare and serve hot meals for 75-125 people each Tuesday afternoon. A short worship service is provided before the serving of the meal. The Ministry also provides groceries and clothing to needy families on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. This ministry spearheads clothing and food drives, and coordinates Central’s annual Thanksgiving Give-Away. Central disciples who wish to serve in the Crisis Intervention Ministry must be compassionate and willing to serve people from all walks of life with love and respect. This ministry is always seeking the help of faithful volunteers.
